Plants, know-how, and a special creative touch
Botanologica is a small, well-curated shop in Falls Church, Virginia that specializes in house plants and gardening but also offers a variety of unique clothing, jewelry and items for the home. Striking the perfect balance between beauty and brains, the shop appeals to pretty much everyone.
The logo features Northern Sea Oats (Chasmanthium latifolium), a native northern Virginia grass that develops stacked chevron-shaped seed pods in late summer. The hand-drawn pen and ink illustration evokes etched botanical drawings you might see in old botany textbook plates, with a little whimsy and a few subtle nods to the original owners thrown in. We developed signage, print materials, letterpress gift cards, hang tags, stickers and more for the shop.
